We design with yakisugi, an ancient Japanese technique of charring wood, and pair it with metal to create a tension that feels both warm and bold.

Each piece takes three weeks to make by hand and carries a unique serial number. Designed for a lifetime.

Risto and Sander started Yaki as two best friends in their twenties, driven by a shared pursuit of beauty. Every lamp is handcrafted in Tallinn, Estonia.

Yaki is developing its international activities with the support of the European Union. The project supports the design studio's product development and export capacity with a grant of €25,000.
